IC Information:
Name: Preincarnation - Yuri Tsukikage, Reincarnation - Lily Tsukuyomi
Canon and medium: Heartcatch Precure!, anime series
Age: Preincarnation - 17, Reincarnation - 18
Preincarnation Species: Human
Preincarnation Appearance: As both Yuri and Cure Moonlight.
Any differences: Lily is only half-Japanese opposed to Yuri being fully Japanese, as Lily's Mother was Caucasian. Though still strongly showing her Asian heritage in her appearance, she is of mixed ethnicity. Additionally, her hair is black, as opposed to purple.
Preincarnated History: http://prettycure.wikia.com/wiki/Tsukikage_Yuri
In a world protected by the light of the "Heart Tree," Yuri Tsukikage was chosen as Cure Moonlight by the fairy Cologne. Stubbornly, she refused to seek out other girls to become Legendary Warriors along with her, not wanting to bring others into conflict with the evils of the Desert Apostles. This would backfire on her in the worst way possible - the Apostles' leader, Professor Sabaaku, unleashed an entity named "Dark Precure." Dark Precure existed only for Cure Moonlight's destruction, and pretty well succeeded in this. In battle with both her and Sabaaku, Cologne was killed, and Yuri's powers shattered, saved only by the timely intervention of a former Precure's fairy, Couppe.
Her father having gone missing years ago, and now her best friend having died in her arms, Yuri was forced to resume the life of an ordinary girl even as other Precures rose up to confront the Desert Apostles. Things were not so simple, though, as she was continually dragged into these situations, as Dark Precure still sought her head, while the new Cures Erika and Tsubomi wanted her guidance and approval.
Eventually, Yuri would help the other girls obtain new power to fight their enemies as they too grew in strength. And with their motivation and the last remnants of her fairy's spirit, she regained the resolve and the power to become Cure Moonlight again. Joining the other Precure in their battle from then on, eventually they were brought to a confrontation in their headquarters as the Desert King, Dune, arrived to turn the Earth into a vast wasteland of sand. In this showdown, Yuri killed Dark Precure... but not before discovering that Sabaaku was in fact her father, and had been brainwashed by Dune. And that Dark Precure was his creation and, effectively, her "sister."
Whoops.
Sabaaku is then killed by Dune, nearly making Yuri into something much more akin to the monsters they'd been fighting than a "warrior of love."
Brought back to her senses by Tsubomi, the four Heartcatch Precures go on to defeat Dune once and for all, restoring peace to the world at large.
Reincarnated History: [This history was collaborated on with
razorsaw for Dark Precure as well, as their nature ends up with them being pretty tightly interlinked. As such, there will be overlapping elements, clearly.]
Lily was born the eldest of two daughters, older by one year to her sister, Jasmine. [Jasmine = Dark Precure, as per Razorsaw's application.] Their father, a Professor of archaeology, was Japanese born but had long since been living in Los Angeles when he met their mother, a botanist. The two girls were raised in California until Lily was nine, at which time their mother passed away after battling with cancer for most of what Lily could ever remember of her.
From this, their father became withdrawn. Though still loving and supportive of his daughters, he threw himself deeper and deeper into his work. The girls soon left LA, as their father went from university to research facility across the country. They rarely stayed in one place for terribly long.
As time went on, Lily took it upon herself to make certain she always took care of Jasmine no matter what was going on. While their father lost himself in business and research, Lily was determined even as a young girl and going into being a teenager to be the best role model possible for her sister.
Eventually, the offer of a research position in Locke City gave them a stable environment as Jasmine was entering High School. The stability did them well in their home life, because though their father was so focused elsewhere by this point in their lives, the sisters were quite close and were able to take care of each other. Though the distance their father put between them saddened Lily, she also understood it to a degree.
Unfortunately, all of the moving around had impacted her studies to a degree over the years, along with taking care of Jasmine. Lily would constantly feel like she was a step behind the top of her class, in spite of how much she studied now that they were stable. Yet knowing that focusing harder on that would take time from her sister, she chose to focus on Jasmine, concern for her sister's well being outweighing her academic goals. Which, as she entered her last year of High School, started to crop up all on their own as college loomed on the horizon...
Unfortunately, then things in Locke City started to get strange.
First Echo: The pink lights in the sky on September 21st triggered Lily's first Echo, a quick but vivid memory.
"You are a true crybaby, you know?"
She remembers these words being heard after she sees a small, furry creature vanish in a flash of light. She doesn't know his name, she doesn't know who he is, all she really knows and understands is that this was that creature's ultimate end, and that his life had flickered out. A sense of profound loss grips her, as if she had lost something most dear to her. Still, there is a sense of closure to it.
But not knowing what this creature WAS, its name, or any way it may be related to her, she is thus left very emotionally confused and unable to figure out what to do with this information.
Preincarnation Personality: As a general rule, Yuri is a calm and collected person. Very few things can break that demeanor. Most of the time she is the most level head in the room, which has more than once led to her taking command of a situation among her less experienced comrades.
While she speaks softly, she carries a big stick. She is not afraid to shy away from telling people things they may not like, and can come across harsher than she may actually be. What many may take for being cold is actually a means of showing her kindness - she can't bear to see others suffer, and will do what she can to defend such things when she sees them happening. Her harshness can come from putting that safety above how one may view her. When she was asked to seek other Precures to help her when she first became a warrior, she refused to do so because it would have put others at risk. In the end, this is what led to her resounding defeat at the hands of Sabaaku and Dark Precure. That strictness is one of the first things people see, though, so it tends to carry a certain impression.
Extremely intelligent, Yuri is very studious. Top of the class and probably the smartest student in her school. She reads quite a lot, to a point when touring Paris with her teammates on a vacation, she found more interest in the book that was in her hands than in the sights around them.
Yuri has been through some terrible things. She had to watch her best friend - her fairy partner Cologne, granted to her when she received her powers - die to save her. Her powers were lost, and she sunk into a self-loathing depression. Already a withdrawn individual, after this she became even more so. She concerned herself only with her everyday tasks, helping her mother with things, doing her school work. The only classmate she really had any contact with was Kurumi Momoka, who wasn't even there all the time thanks to her modeling career, but was the closest thing she could call a "friend" then. Even she was kept at arm's length, however.
Though she saves the new Precures, Erika and Tsubomi, upon first seeing them defeated at the hands of Dark Precure, she remains steadfastly disapproving of any notion that she could still be of any use to them. Even then, at the time she can come off as extremely judgmental of the rookie Precures, and it took some considerable time before they were able to really sway her in any way. It was not until they sought the Heartcatch Mirage that they were able to get her to do terribly much, only for that little adventure to reveal how wilted her own Heart Flower had become in her sadness. However, through the other Cures' acceptance and the spirit of her dead partner coming before her, she did regain her resolve.
Afterwards, she slowly became more open and accepting of both her new teammates. They begin to draw her out of her shell, as she openly begins to spend time with them, become involved in their activities, and stay by their sides whenever they are faced with an enemy threat. She comes to be friends with them, and largely her life starts to look a lot brighter. She became softer towards others, and more willing to just get out there and do things. Though not ... TOO much. She still had to be convinced to do things by her friends to some degree, but she was able to loosen up enough to still do things like participate in Erika's fashion show at her school festival.
But then bad things happened. She discovered their enemy Sabaaku had all along been her brainwashed, long missing father, and that Dark Precure was his creation made specifically to destroy her. She only discovered THIS as Dark Precure lay dying from wounds Yuri had inflicted upon her. Then to top it all off, her father was murdered by his boss, the Desert King Dune.
Needless to say, these are things that can take a great toll on a person's psyche. They certainly have Yuri's, but in spite of all that she'd been able to pull through it with the love and encouragement of her friends, whether she wanted to or not.
She holds a lot of pride in what she is, at least now, and in being a "Warrior of Love." It's this trait, in addition to fellow Precure Tsubomi's pleas and encouragement, that allowed her to overcome overwhelming hate and anger when facing down her father's murderer mere moments after his death. It was through this she was able to face him not with hatred, but for the sake of doing the right thing, fighting for her world and her friends.
After everything, Yuri's is a personality that has been in many stages. From overconfident and stubborn, to crushingly depressed, dour, and judgmental. Now, she a much kinder and gentler, more accepting soul, but one still bearing the weight of many mistakes in the past, by both her and others. They shape what she has become, but she no longer lets them control what she is.
Any differences: While Yuri and Lily are very much cut from similar cloths, several things end up separating them. Where Yuri lost her father to unknown circumstances only to find out he'd be trying to kill her the whole time, the loss of Lily's mother was something she grew up knowing could happen. It was sad, it was unfortunate, but it was something she could cope with. While her mother left her, she did so after many years of loving affection, instilling a desire to pass that down to her sister.
And that is really where the biggest deviations stem. A lot of Lily's life has fallen into place to where it practically revolves around her sister. Jasmine is the reincarnation of Yuri's mortal enemy, someone who pursued her with a burning desire for nothing but her absolute destruction. Yet here, she is truly Lily's sister. She loves her with every ounce of her heart, and would never think of inflicting any harm upon her, nor would she ever think that Jasmine would hurt her in turn. That Yuri killed Dark Precure is something that will be quite the startling revelation should it ever come to her via Echoes.
The circumstances of their upbringing, in fact, makes Lily supremely protective of her sister. She is quite the doting mother hen making certain that she is taken care of.
Outside of Jasmine, though in a way still influenced by her presence, Lily is actually more outgoing than Yuri. This stems a bit from trying to be a good role model, but also because she has not suffered anywhere near the hardships that Yuri did. She is happy to extend a hand of friendship to anyone that seems kind enough, and far more conversational than Yuri might have been. She is less likely to be very harsh or judgmental, though can be pushed to that point... but could honestly probably stand to be more wary of the things around her. Whereas Yuri seemed ready to deal with any shadow that popped out from around a corner, Lily is naive of just how dangerous the world around her can be.
Though still a considerable bookworm and exceptionally bright, Lily is not at the top of her class, much less her entire school as Yuri was. This is a combination of how much she moved around growing up, never really settling into one place for very long, and focusing so much attention on her sister in attempts to make up for their mother's absence. She has the POTENTIAL for great things in the academic field, but circumstances have put her in a position where she's just not caught up to that potential. With further distractions of whatever lay ahead for her in this world, that's probably going to be even more of an issue.
Abilities: Besides her intelligence and a clear understanding of self defense and battle, Yuri's primary ability in canon is to transform into Cure Moonlight, one of many in a long line of Legendary Warriors stretching back centuries called "Precure." At the beginning of the show, she loses these powers and the means to transform into it - her transformation device, the Heart Perfume, is passed on to another Precure, the trinket that triggers it, the Precure Seed, is shattered into two pieces, and the only one who could create another Seed for her, her fairy Cologne, is killed in battle.
Through the course of the show, she regains the ability to transform by using the lid of the Heart Pot - which takes the form of what basically looks like a make up compact - and the various Heart Seeds - formed when people's hearts were restored upon the defeat of monsters they were turned into - her comrades had collected. The Seeds basically provided the energy she needed to restore her broken Precure Seed whenever she transformed. In the final battle, with her resolve and Tsubomi's encouragement, she is able to will the Precure Seed into completeness on her own. All things considered, the impression is left that it is REALLY complete at this point in time, without her having to use a crutch to do so. So I would be operating under the impression that her Precure Seed, when obtained, would be complete.
The Precure Seed alone can be used as a means of erecting a defensive barrier without her transforming. This can be fairly potent, depending on her resolve and the state of her heart at the time.
As Cure Moonlight, all of her physical abilities are greatly enhanced. She is stronger, more durable, and most importantly for her fighting style, much faster than your average human being. Her outright speed is often jarring to her enemies, and she has been seen using this to her advantage to throw them off guard.
The dress she dons as a Precure acts as a sort of armor to enemy attacks, but it does have an upper limit of how much punishment it can take. Should she be defeated soundly enough, the transformation will break and her Precure outfit will disappear - leaving her in a glowing white dress that leaves her mostly defenseless, though she is able to re-transform should she get her wits about her.
Cure Moonlight can utilize energy blasts that become stronger the longer she charges them. She can combine this power with other Heartcatch Precures for even stronger blasts. A variation of this is used in the attack "Moonlight Silver Impact" where she unleashes that power at point blank range when either striking or just laying her palm upon the opponent.
She can summon a long, glowing cape that can be used defensively, and also allow her to fly.
Summoning her "Moon Tact" weapon - a device that resembles a very fanciful conductor's baton - she is able to preform her ultimate attacks:
"Silver Forte Wave" - A large blast of energy that can purify darkness.
"Floral Power Fortissimo" - Moonlight summons even more power than with the Forte Wave, drawing ƒƒ symbols in the air before energy engulfs her and she attacks like an energized human rocket. Like the Forte Wave, this also purifies darkness. Moonlight is the only Heartcatch Precure capable of using this attack on her own, as the others must do so in combination with a second girl. She is able to unite with any of them to preform the attack too, though, greatly increasing its strength.
The Moon Tact can also summon general waves of energy and force, sometimes taking a ribbon-like appearance. That will put you into a wall.
ON THE EFFECT OF HER MOON TACT SPECIAL ATTACKS: Heartcatch Precures possess a purifying light. This power, when put into the Forte Wave or Fortissimo, is capable of cleansing evil. It can outright destroy evil creatures, obliterate evil holds on people, and cleanse an evil soul to be reborn as a good person. It really depends on just WHAT they're fighting as to what effect it has, because the attacks can act as waves of force, too, and just frankly can just blow stuff up as well. As a general rule, I would tend to veer towards the "blowing up" waves of force. Purifying would only be done with permission of parties involved and never forced.
When all four Heartcatch Precures are gathered, they can summon the Heartcatch Mirage. Thistoyetic makeup mirror artifact allows them to transform into their super forms, Super Silhouette. In addition to changing the look of their outfits, they obtain energy wings that allow them to fly and are able to preform their ultimate final attack, the Heartcatch Orchestra, which ... summons a giant female figure which crushes the enemy beneath her fist before the girls use the combined power of their weapons to try and purify them.
Lastly, with all their hearts combined towards the common goal of defeating Dune, the four Heartcatch Precures were able to use the power of the Mirage to unite together and unlock the Infinity Silhouette. This is a single entity bearing all of their spirits, a nearly planet-sized girl that was able to purify the raging malevolent evil of the equally planet sized Dune. This is ... EXTREMELY UNLIKELY to ever occur in RP, but it's here for the sake of completeness.
Even summoning the Mirage requires all four Heartcatch Precures, obviously, so nothing related to it would even be a factor unless Yuri, Tsubomi, Erika, and Itsuki were all in the game.

The gifts that people are realizing, be it abilities or skills, are truly a thing to marvel at. They've already helped people in numerous ways, I've seen. But...
What comes with them...
Memories are a funny thing, aren't they? They make us what we are, because it's our experiences that shape our identities. My life up until now hasn't been what I would call simple, but...
The more I see, the more I learn...
There are some memories better left buried.
Any Questions? Nope.

This
Lastly, with all their hearts combined towards the common goal of defeating Dune, the four Heartcatch Precures were able to use the power of the Mirage to unite together and unlock the Infinity Silhouette.

Nope.
